When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.

✔ Simple joint that locks as soon as it bends: under rein tension, the mouthpiece then acts like a straight mouthpiece, which strengthens its action. As soon as the tension eases, it becomes a simple joint again.

✔ Fixed-ring cheekpiece extended by an upper arm to which the bridle attaches. The bit remains very stable in the mouth. TRUST pony collection dimensions: thinner mouthpiece and smaller cheeks.

✔ Corrective mouthpiece, designed for horses that lean on the hand or run through the contact.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: pony Baucher bit

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: lockable lozenge

Mouthpiece thickness: 12 mm

Sizes (mm): 95 / 105 / 115

🐎 Why choose this product?

It gives you two bits in one: a simple joint when the hand is light, and a straight mouthpiece as soon as the horse leans on it. The horse discovers for itself that there is no benefit to pulling.

🧴 Usage advice

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it currently wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E26432_L050_01_76c0cc50-b323-4632-baad-19c8f067b951.jpg?v=1788643843
