When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.

✔ Straight mouthpiece with medium tongue relief: more room for the tongue and less pressure in the center.

✔ Two D-shaped rings that do not pivot back and forth: greater stability and more direct action. The D shape increases lateral pressure against the cheek, making steering easier.

📋 Technical specifications

Type: Verdun bit (D-rings)

Material: Sweet Iron

Mouthpiece: with medium tongue relief

Mouthpiece thickness: 16 mm

Sizes (mm): 115 / 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

The most common compromise between pressure on the bars and tongue freedom.

🧴 Care instructions

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or measure the bit it currently wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ The blue color turns silver-gray or brownish-gray with use, and an orange film appears when the bit remains unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behavior, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0624/0029/9177/files/E25860_L050_01_248783e6-44cf-4b2e-b68f-39118c7e2600.jpg?v=1788473518
https://selleriebucephale.com/en/products/mors-trust-sweet-iron-verdun-anneaux-en-d-a-passage-de-langue-moyen
