The “Magic System” combines the flexibility of a jointed bit with the control offered by a straight mouthpiece. Its exclusive patented design prevents the bit from closing completely, avoiding the risk of injury to the tongue and palate.
The mouthpiece is made of solid Cuprigan — 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc — with stainless steel rings. Its oxidation releases a pleasant smell and taste, which stimulate chewing and salivation. On an eggbutt bit, the rings do not rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct action than with a loose-ring bit. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece remains relatively stable in the horse’s mouth.
