This bit is made from solid Cuprigan—a 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc alloy—mounted on stainless steel rings. As it oxidizes, the material releases a pleasant smell and taste. Its anatomical shape follows the contours of the mouth and distributes pressure gently and evenly. On a loose-ring snaffle, the rings do not rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct effect than with a bit featuring freely moving rings. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece remains relatively stable in the horse’s mouth.

Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is normal behavior for the alloy, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product.
