A fetlock boot covers the inside of the hind fetlock, where the horse may strike itself when landing after a jump. It is worn during work, never in the field or stall. Weight matters more than you might think on a hind leg: a heavy fetlock boot can be noticeable at takeoff.
🧴 Care instructions
⚠️ Compliant with FEI regulations. For national classes, check the current national regulations for your discipline. Place it on a clean, dry limb, with the shell facing the inside of the fetlock and the closures directed toward the back and outside. Tighten it so that you can slide one finger between the protection and the limb. ⚠️ Remove them as soon as the session ends. Rinse with clean water after each use and leave to air-dry. Regularly check the condition of the Velcro fasteners, as these are the first part to give way.
