This is the version that extends up to the head: the forelocks, mane, and cheeks stay smooth and clean, which a classic neck cover does not achieve. A blanket that rubs wears down the hair, then the skin: first the chest and withers, then the shoulders. An elastane protector slides over areas where the blanket catches, so the hair stays in place instead of coming away in patches.
🧴 Care instructions
Wear it under the blanket, directly against the coat. Check every day that it has not twisted and that nothing is wrinkled under the strap: a crease pressing against the skin causes exactly the injury you are trying to prevent. Check daily that the openings remain properly aligned with the eyes. Wash the elastane by hand or in the machine at 30°C, in a laundry bag. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener, tumble-dry, or iron: the elastic fiber will lose its recovery and the garment will no longer stay in place. Lay flat to dry in the shade.
