🧴 Use and care instructions

To preserve all the qualities of your LeMieux Verv® Gooseberry Matte Competition Helmet Panel for as long as possible, follow these care instructions: Helmet care Clean the painted outer surfaces and harness using a soft, damp cloth. Gently wipe the relevant areas, then dry them with a soft cloth. Fabric- or leather-covered helmets can be gently cleaned using a soft brush. Inner headband The inner headband padding is attached with micro hook-and-loop strips. Gently pull one of the corners to remove it. Hand wash it or machine wash it at 30 °C on a delicate cycle. Always use a laundry bag. Leave it to dry flat, away from any artificial heat source. To refit it, align it with the LeMieux logo and the safety information visible through the mini window, then press all the fastening points firmly to ensure a secure and comfortable fit before use. Storage and transport Keep your helmet in its original packaging or in a padded bag, or another similar protective case, to protect it from knocks and light abrasions during transport. Lifespan This helmet should be replaced after 3 to 5 years of normal use or as soon as it can no longer be adjusted correctly. It must also be replaced after a fall or accident, even if no damage is visible (see the Warnings section). Warnings LeMieux equestrian safety helmets are intended exclusively for equestrian activities. The materials used to manufacture this helmet are not known to cause skin reactions and pose no health risk to the user when used, cleaned and maintained in accordance with these instructions. In the event of a reaction, stop using the helmet immediately and consult a doctor. Wearing a helmet does not guarantee protection against all injuries and cannot prevent every risk of death or disability. Accessories not approved by the manufacturer may affect the helmet’s performance and protective properties. Never use petroleum products, solvents, benzene, thinners or harsh detergents to clean your helmet, and do not expose it to their vapours. Do not modify any part of the helmet. Do not expose the helmet to temperatures above 50 °C or below -20 °C. Do not leave the helmet in direct sunlight, particularly inside a closed vehicle. The helmet is designed to absorb some of the energy from an impact through partial deformation of the shell, protective padding, or both. This damage may not be visible. Any helmet that has experienced an impact must therefore be replaced immediately. For a child, never choose a helmet that is too large with the idea that they will “grow into it”.
