This bit combines high-quality stainless steel with flexible plastic. The whole bit remains stable while being gentle in the horse’s mouth. The plastic has a hardness of 90A and is FDA-approved: it is solvent-free, free of plasticizers, and non-toxic.
The full-cheek snaffle has two vertical bars—the cheeks—in front of the rings. They press against the cheeks and thereby reinforce steering aids, while preventing the bit from being pulled through the mouth. The horse is easy to guide, which makes this bit suitable for young horses. A full-cheek snaffle can be fitted with keepers, which hold it in place and give it a slight leverage effect.

With a double-jointed bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts, and the central section lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed bit, but eliminates the V-shaped effect toward the palate.
🧴 Directions for use
Measure the width from one ring to the other, with the mouthpiece stretched. ⚠️ A bit that is too narrow pinches the corners of the mouth; one that is too wide moves around in the mouth and knocks against the teeth. Allow approximately half a centimetre of visible mouthpiece on each side. ⚠️ Check the condition of the plastic regularly: a mouthpiece that is cut or chewed must be replaced.
