A natural cellular rubber pad sewn precisely under the saddle flaps: the saddle stops moving.
It’s Kavalkade’s best-selling pad, and for a simple reason: the cushion is positioned where the saddle presses, not elsewhere. The cellular rubber is slightly thicker than on ordinary pads, giving it a genuine ability to even out pressure. The cut is straight along the sides of the withers.

🐎 Why choose this product?
The straight cut suits horses with low withers and a narrow saddle tree channel: the saddle panels do not rest on the pad’s end seams. Along the sides, it stops at the beginning of the saddle flaps, level with the middle of your thigh, leaving the shoulder clear.
However, Kavalkade does not recommend it for horses with prominent withers, which are better suited to the rounded cut, or for horses sensitive to shoulder pressure, for which the Shape cut extends lower and avoids edges.
🔎 What is a correction half pad used for?
Kavalkade identifies four uses: evening out pressure across the back and preventing pressure points, compensating for uneven musculature, temporarily correcting a slight fitting issue while a young horse finishes developing, and adapting the same saddle to several horses.
The manufacturer makes this clear: a correction half pad is no substitute for a well-fitted saddle or a properly shaped girth.
