Brush the blanket while it is dry rather than washing it too often: every wash compromises the waterproof coating. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener, as it clogs the breathable membrane. After a few seasons, a re-waterproofing product for technical fabrics can restore the water-repellent finish. ⚠️ The stated size is the back length: measure your horse from the withers to the base of the tail, along the spine. A blanket that is too short pulls on the shoulders and rubs the withers; one that is too long shifts around and may cause the horse to catch its feet in it.
