A lightweight 600-denier ripstop turnout rug with 50 g filling: the simple solution for transitional seasons.

The 600-denier ripstop fabric withstands 3,000 mm of water pressure and offers breathability of 3,000 g/m² over 24 hours. The rug is made without a back seam and features a forward-cut wither design: it is approximately 10 cm longer than the horse’s back by design, so it sits in front of the withers, covers the shoulder and does not slip backwards when the horse lowers its head. The Winnipeg accommodates leg straps, has a low-set tail strap, a large tail flap, crossed surcingles with elastic inserts and a smooth lining. The chest closes with a double swivel hook fastener secured by Velcro.

🐎 Why choose this product?

A 600-denier rug costs less than a 1200-denier one and is more than sufficient for a horse that does not spend all day in brambles. Put the budget elsewhere.

🧴 Care instructions

Fasten all the Velcro and place the rug in a sturdy wash bag: without one, the hardware hits the drum, opens and rusts. Wash at 30 °C on a delicate cycle using a special detergent for outdoor rugs. Do not reproof it: the waterproofing comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which a water-repellent product can damage. Once a year, a specialist cleaner can take care of the rest.
