Permitted lengths and rowels depend on the discipline, the level of the event, the federation and the country, and they change from one season to the next. The flat-shank chrome-plated stainless steel spur, in the women's size: the band is narrower than on the men's model, and the spur measures from 21 to 37 mm from the boot depending on the shank length, compared with 28 to 38 mm on the men's model.
