🐎 Why choose this product?

A hackamore works by applying pressure to the noseband area and jaw, including through the shanks. Where the shank touches the cheek, the skin is thin: a padded shank protector helps prevent irritation, especially for a horse that spends long periods outdoors or has sensitive skin.

🧴 Care instructions

Clean the leather with glycerin soap, then condition it. ⚠️ Never dry it near a heat source: the leather will harden and crack.

The little story...

I founded Sellerie Bucéphale in 2008, opening a shop in the Drôme department (in France) because, as a dressage rider, I could not find suitable equipment in the region. My presence quickly expanded through participation in dressage shows, local competitions, and national and international events.

To meet the needs of all riders, I developed a website, giving everyone access to high-quality technical products that have been tested and approved.

Since 2016, I have been based in the city of Orange (in France) and have been a partner of regional dressage circuits.

I strive to offer bespoke and customizable items, and I attach great importance to direct relationships with my customers.
