The Waterford has a very distinctive mouthpiece: a series of articulated balls, with no flat surface at all. A horse that seeks to lean has nothing to brace against, making sustained pulling impossible.
This is the bit for horses that pull and lean on the reins, both out hacking and on a course. Solid stainless steel, 65 mm rings, 18 mm mouthpiece thickness.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A horse that pulls is not strong in the mouth: it has found something to brace against. The Waterford removes that point of support rather than increasing severity, making it very different from a leverage bit. A soft hand is still essential, as its complete articulation amplifies every abrupt movement.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ Use with a soft hand and light contact: this bit does not forgive a hard hand. Check the mouthpiece width before ordering and introduce it gradually, starting at the walk. Regularly check the condition of the joints: excessive play means the bit should be replaced.
Composition: stainless steel.
