The gentlest mouthpiece in the range: the one to choose for a young horse or a horse whose mouth has been hurt by a metal bit.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit measuring gauge, or measure the bit it currently wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it presses into the corners of the mouth. Choose the thickness according to the horse's mouth: a thick mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface, but takes up too much room in a shallow mouth or with a thick tongue. ⚠️ A curb bit must always be used with a snaffle and a curb chain, with two pairs of reins. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely gets damaged, but a sharp tooth can wear into it. ⚠️ Flexi Soft is not well suited to strong horses: its flexibility provides no support.
