The bridoon is used in combination with a curb bit. Its small rings leave room for the curb bit. The supplier recommends choosing it 0.5 to 1 cm wider than the curb bit.

Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is normal behavior for the alloy, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product. Measure the width from one ring to the other with the mouthpiece stretched straight. ⚠️ A bit that is too narrow pinches the corners of the mouth; one that is too wide moves around in the mouth and knocks against the teeth.
