This bit is made of solid Cuprigan—a 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc alloy—mounted on stainless steel parts. As it oxidizes, the material releases a pleasant smell and taste. Its anatomical shape follows the contours of the mouth and distributes pressure gently and evenly.
The bridoon bit is used in combination with a curb bit. Its small rings leave room for the curb bit. The supplier recommends choosing it 0.5 to 1 cm wider than the curb bit.

🐎 Why choose this product?
With a double-jointed bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts, and the central section lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed bit, but eliminates the V-shaped effect toward the palate. At 12 mm, the mouthpiece remains slim enough to allow both bits to fit together, while being slightly less noticeable than a 10 mm mouthpiece. ⚠️ Pay attention to the size: the supplier recommends choosing the bridoon 0.5 to 1 cm wider than the curb bit so that both bits can fit together without interfering with each other.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is normal for the alloy, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product. Measure the width from one ring to the other with the mouthpiece stretched straight. ⚠️ A bit that is too narrow pinches the corners of the mouth; one that is too wide moves around in the mouth and knocks against the teeth.
