Cork instead of leather: a completely vegan rein, lightweight, naturally non-slip, and not afraid of water.
Cork has long been used as an alternative to leather outside the equestrian world; Kavalkade is one of the few brands to have brought it into saddlery. The material has qualities of its own, not just ethical ones: it is lightweight, its surface naturally grips the hand, it does not absorb water, and it does not dry out. The rein otherwise retains the usual construction — five stops on each side, with a narrow 16 mm cut.

🧴 Care instructions
A damp sponge is all that is needed. Cork does not need conditioning, does not develop mould, and dries on its own — this is one of its advantages over leather.
