A short girth buckles low, onto the long billets of a dressage saddle: this frees the rider's leg and allows them to maintain contact with the horse's side.
🧴 How to use
⚠️ Tighten the girth in several stages, walking between each hole: a horse that is girthed all at once tenses up and expands its belly, leaving the girth too loose ten minutes later. ⚠️ Measure the length from one billet hole to the other with the girth in place: the buckles must remain above the elbow and beneath the saddle flap, never straddling either one. Clean with glycerine soap, then apply leather grease once the leather is dry.
