A breastplate does not hold the saddle in place by magic: it prevents it from sliding back on a round horse with little or no withers, or when riding downhill during cross-country. The long bridge is what distinguishes the Lyon: it moves the pressure point lower down the neck.
🧴 Care instructions
⚠️ Sold without a martingale fork: TRUST Valkenswaard, Milano, Stockholm, and Helsinki forks are compatible with it. ⚠️ Adjust it so that one flat hand fits between the leather and the point of the shoulder: if it is too tight, it restricts the shoulder's range of motion, which shows in the stride before it shows on the coat. Clean with glycerin soap, then condition once the leather is dry. ⚠️ Never dry leather near a radiator: it will harden and crack.
