Sheepskin remains the most breathable material under a saddle: it absorbs sweat and allows the back to breathe, which no foam can do as well. ⚠️ A saddle pad cannot correct a saddle that does not fit. If it compensates for a saddle that is too wide or too narrow, the saddle needs adjusting—not a saddle pad: when used incorrectly, it moves the problem instead of solving it.
🧴 Care instructions
Place the saddle pad on a clean, dry back, pulling it well up into the saddle’s gullet to clear the withers. ⚠️ Sheepskin should only be washed with a concentrated detergent specifically designed for leather, sheepskin, suede, and nubuck: ordinary detergent hardens the leather and felts the wool. Dry flat, never on a heat source.
