Use

• For preventive control to avoid invasions of crawling harmful insects such as:
• Ants - carrying aphids and thus boosting their colonies.
• Aphids - directly contributing to the general weakening of the infested tree.
• Earwigs damaging stone fruits at the end of ripening.
• Defoliating caterpillars and other crawling insects feeding on young shoots/leaves.

1. First, wrap the foam around the trunk (at least 40 cm from the ground), stretch it, secure with two pins and cut off the excess.
2. Then, perform the same operation with the green mesh, avoiding overlapping at the same spot.
3. Once in place, the collar is ready to be glued. Apply two lines of glue to create a better barrier against ants.
4. At the overlap of the foam strip, check that there is no possible passage for ants; if so, apply a few drops of glue to block their passage.
5. Check once a month that the collar is not saturated with insects.
6. Apply glue again if necessary.

• Avoid the presence of tall grass or low branches, which would create passages for insects to reach the upper parts of the tree without going through the trunk.
• Collar lifespan: until saturation by insects; if necessary, the collar can be re-glued using the glue tube.
