This Baucher is made from solid Cuprigan, an alloy consisting of 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc. Its natural oxidation in the mouth stimulates salivation and encourages acceptance of the bit—following the same principle as sweet iron, but without surface rust.
Its upward-sloping cheeks with rings suspend the bit and stabilize it in the mouth, with a slight leverage effect on the poll. Double-jointed, with stainless steel rings and a 16 mm mouthpiece.
✨ Key benefits
- ✔ Copper-rich Cuprigan: stimulates salivation and encourages acceptance of the bit
- ✔ Upward-sloping cheeks: the bit is suspended and no longer swings in the mouth
- ✔ Double joint: the mouthpiece follows the tongue, without an angle pressing against the palate
- ✔ 16 mm mouthpiece, stainless steel rings
- ✔ Two benefits combined: Baucher stability and the softness of copper

🐎 Why choose this product?
This is the premium Baucher bit in the selection: while the stainless steel model works only through its shape, this one also adds copper's effect on salivation. For a sensitive horse that tends to keep its mouth dry, this combination is as complete as it gets.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ The Baucher applies pressure to the poll. Attach the cheekpieces to the upper ring and the reins to the mouthpiece ring. The green patina on the Cuprigan is normal: rinse with clean water and do not use any abrasive cleaner.
Composition: Cuprigan, stainless steel.
