The smaller sizes are designed for ponies and Shetlands: a shortened horse sheet cannot replace a cut designed for their build. A fly sheet creates a physical barrier between the insect and the skin: unlike repellents, it is the only protection that does not evaporate or wash off in the rain. For a horse sensitive to bites or prone to sweet itch, it can transform the summer.

🧴 Care instructions

The mesh is machine washable at a low temperature. Turn it inside out to protect the fabric. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener or tumble-dry: the fibres may lose their shape. Air-dry. ⚠️ For a sheet, the stated size is the back length: measure from the withers to the base of the tail along the spine.

The little story...

I founded Sellerie Bucéphale in 2008 by opening a shop in the Drôme department (in France) because, as a dressage rider, I couldn’t find suitable equipment in the area. My presence quickly expanded by attending dressage competitions, local contests, and national and international events.

To meet the needs of all riders, I developed a website, allowing everyone to access high-quality technical products that are tested and approved.

Since 2016, I have been based in the city of Orange (in France) and am a partner of the regional dressage circuits.

I strive to offer custom-made and customizable items, and I place great importance on direct relationships with my customers.
