A bell boot protects the heel bulbs and coronary band from overreach injuries—the most insidious type of injury because it affects the area where the hoof grows. A bell boot that can be machine washed will actually be properly maintained: rubber ones end up caked with mud inside, and that mud is what causes injuries.
🧴 Directions for use
The bell boot should reach ground level without dragging or riding up onto the pastern. ⚠️ Check the inside every day: this is where sand accumulates. Machine wash without fabric softener, then air-dry.
