🐎 Why choose this product?
An overreach boot covers the heel and the edge of the coronet band, where the hind hoof can strike when the horse pulls a shoe or overreaches. It is the least expensive form of protection for a horse, and the one that prevents the injury that takes the longest to heal. This is BR's basic model: nothing superfluous, just the protection you need.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ An overreach boot that is too large will rotate and be stepped on; one that is too small will rub the coronet band. When the hoof is on the ground, it should just touch the ground at the back, and no more. Place it on a clean, dry hoof, with the opening facing backward and the Velcro facing outward so that a branch cannot open it. It should rest on the ground without pressing against the coronet band. ⚠️ Remove it after the session. Rinse with clean water after use and leave to air-dry. Check the condition of the Velcro regularly: it is the first part to wear out.
