A bell boot that sits over the boot instead of sliding underneath does not ride up or create a bulge: that is what this model solves. A bell boot covers the heel and the edge of the coronet, where the hind hoof can strike when the horse pulls off a shoe or overreaches. It is the least expensive protection for the horse and the one that prevents the injury that takes the longest to heal.
🧴 Instructions for use
⚠️ A bell boot that is too large will twist and be stepped on; one that is too small will rub the coronet. It should touch the ground at the back when the hoof is resting, but no more. Place it on a clean, dry hoof, with the opening facing backward and the Velcro facing outward, so that a branch cannot open it. It should rest on the ground without tightening around the coronet. ⚠️ Remove it after the session. Rinse with clean water after use and leave to air-dry. Regularly check the condition of the Velcro fasteners: they are the first part to wear out.
