A breastplate does not hold the saddle in place by magic: it prevents it from sliding backward on a round-backed horse, one with little or no withers, or when riding downhill during cross-country. The Brussels is the most discreet of the three TRUST models: it stays in place without lying flat against the horse.
🧴 Care instructions
⚠️ Sold without a martingale attachment. ⚠️ Adjust it so that you can fit one flat hand between the leather and the point of the shoulder: if it is too tight, it restricts the shoulder's range of motion, which shows in the stride before it shows on the coat. Clean with glycerin soap, then condition once the leather is dry. ⚠️ Never dry leather near a radiator: it will harden and crack.
