One rug for the field and the walker: change the chest strap, and it switches from one use to the other.
That is the whole principle behind the Halifax 2-in-1: instead of taking the rug off the horse to change it before using the walker, you simply replace the chest strap, which takes just a few seconds. In walker mode, this strap offers two fastening positions, with the lower position better suited to narrow horses. The shoulder is not closed as it is on a standard turnout rug: the horse retains freedom of movement in the shoulder and limbs, without the fabric pulling. The 1200-denier ripstop fabric withstands a 4,000 mm water column and offers breathability of 3,000 g/m² over 24 hours. Anatomical back with an advanced wither shape, lowered sides for belly coverage, low tail strap edged with PVC, large tail flap, padded withers and smooth lining.

🧴 Care instructions
Fasten all the hook-and-loop closures and place the rug in a sturdy laundry bag: without one, the hardware bangs against the drum, opens and rusts. Wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, using a special detergent for outdoor rugs. Do not re-waterproof it: its water resistance comes from a coating applied to the back of the fabric, which a water-repellent product can damage. Once a year, a specialist cleaner can take care of the rest.
