🐎 Why choose this product?
Fill weight is the amount of filling, in grams per square meter: it determines the warmth. As a general guide: 0 to 50 g for basic rain protection, 100 to 150 g for transitional seasons, 200 to 300 g for winter, and more for a clipped horse or one that lives outdoors. A horse that sweats under its blanket is too warm: it is better to choose slightly too little fill than to leave the horse wet with sweat.
🧴 Care instructions
Brush the blanket while dry rather than washing it too often: every wash compromises the waterproof coating. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener, as it clogs the breathable membrane. After a few seasons, a reproofing product for technical fabrics can restore its water repellency. ⚠️ The stated size is the back length: measure your horse from the withers to the base of the tail, along the spine. A blanket that is too short pulls across the shoulders and rubs the withers; one that is too long shifts around and the horse may catch its feet in it.
