🐎 Why choose this product?

Weight refers to the amount of filling, in grams per square metre: this is what provides warmth. As a general guide: 0 to 50 g for basic rain protection, 100 to 150 g for transitional seasons, 200 to 300 g for winter, and more for a clipped horse or one that lives outdoors. A horse that sweats under its rug is too warm: it is better for the filling to be slightly too light than for the horse to be wet with sweat.

🧴 Care instructions

Brush the rug when dry rather than washing it too often: every wash damages the waterproof coating. ⚠️ Do not use fabric softener, as it clogs the breathable membrane. After a few seasons, a reproofing product for technical fabric can restore its water repellency. ⚠️ The stated size is the back length: measure your horse from the withers to the base of the tail, along the spine. A rug that is too short pulls on the shoulders and rubs the withers; one that is too long shifts around and the horse may catch its feet in it.
