When choosing spurs, two things should be considered separately. The size of the branches depends on your foot: women's for shoe sizes 36 to 40, men's from size 41 with longer, more widely spaced branches, and children's below size 36. Branches that are too wide slide along the boot, and the spur eventually ends up beneath the heel.
The stem length should not be chosen with a ruler: it depends on the horse, your leg position, and the level of the competitions you take part in. If you are unsure, ask us — we will assess it on a case-by-case basis.
