The Prince of Wales is the classic spur: a straight shank ending in a rounded tip, with no rowel or roller. This is the women’s version, for shoe sizes 36 to 40: the arms are shorter and closer together than on the men’s model. The arms are covered in rubber: the covering cushions contact with the boot and prevents it from being marked.

🐎 Why choose this product?
When choosing spurs, two things are considered separately. The size of the arms depends on your foot: women’s for shoe sizes 36 to 40, men’s from size 41, with longer and more widely spaced arms, and children’s below size 36. Arms that are too wide slide along the boot, and the spur eventually ends up under the heel.
The shank length is not chosen with a ruler: it depends on the horse, your leg position, and the level of the competitions you take part in. If you are unsure, ask us — we will assess it on a case-by-case basis.
