Regulations measure the spur from the boot, not the shank alone: therefore, the second column is the one that matters. Permitted lengths and rowels depend on the discipline, event level, federation, and country, and they change from one season to the next. Before entering, check the regulations in force for your event.

The vertically mounted Comfort Roller Soft Point rowel combines rolling action with softened points: a more pronounced aid than a smooth rowel, without harshness.

The little story...

I founded Sellerie Bucéphale in 2008, opening a shop in the Drôme department (in France) because, as a dressage rider, I could not find suitable equipment in the region. My presence quickly expanded through participation in dressage shows, local competitions, and national and international events.

To meet the needs of all riders, I developed a website, giving everyone access to high-quality technical products that have been tested and approved.

Since 2016, I have been based in the city of Orange (in France) and have been a partner of regional dressage circuits.

I strive to offer bespoke and customizable items, and I attach great importance to direct relationships with my customers.
