🐎 Why choose this product?
Copper alloys oxidize when they come into contact with saliva, and this oxidation produces a taste that encourages the horse to chew. This is what you want for a horse that stays dry in the mouth, whereas stainless steel—perfectly neutral—has no such effect.
🧴 Usage advice
Measure the width from one ring to the other with the mouthpiece held straight. ⚠️ A bit that is too narrow pinches the corners of the mouth; one that is too wide moves around in the mouth and knocks against the teeth. Allow approximately half a centimeter of visible mouthpiece on each side. Cuprion tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is the normal behavior of the alloy, not a defect.
