Stainless steel double-jointed Verdun snaffle, with a 16 mm mouthpiece.
The Verdun bit has D-rings that do not rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct action. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece remains relatively stable in the horse’s mouth. The D-shape prevents the bit from being pulled through the mouth and helps guide the horse effectively, making it suitable for young horses.

🐎 Why choose this product?
With a double-jointed bit, the mouthpiece consists of three parts, and the central part rests flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than a single-jointed bit, but eliminates the V-shaped action toward the palate.
🧴 Usage advice
Measure the width from one ring to the other, with the mouthpiece stretched out. ⚠️ A bit that is too narrow pinches the corners of the mouth; one that is too wide moves around in the mouth and knocks against the teeth. Allow approximately half a centimetre of visible mouthpiece on each side.
