How to measure (Racesafe guide) — wear a single thin layer, keeping the tape taut.
• Chest: around the fullest part, just below the armpits; inhale/exhale and take the average.
• Over the shoulder: place a tape just below the lowest ribs; from the top of the tape (beside the navel), measure in a straight line over the shoulder to the top of the tape at the back. The “Tall” front adds a row of segments.
• Back length: while seated in the saddle, from the vertebra beneath C7 (the bump at the base of the neck) to where the vest should end, leaving a good hand's width above the saddle.
