Important safety precautions
When using electrical appliances, you must always follow certain basic safety precautions, including the following.
- Keep children away from the work area and store the device out of their reach.
- Do not disassemble this product.
- Do not rinse the product, expose it to moisture, or use it near water.
- Do not store the product where the temperature falls below 0 °C or rises above 40 °C.
- Danger: risk of electric shock! Before cleaning the device, first switch off the machine (switch B), then disconnect the power supply and remove the battery.
- Be aware that sharp blades can cause injury!
- Unplug the charger from the socket after use.
- Switch off the machine after use.
Description of the clipper
The diagram in the manual (Image 1) shows the clipper from the front:
- A - cutting-length adjustment ring: rotating ring located just below the clipping head, marked 0.8 - 1.1 - 1.4 - 1.7 - 2.0 mm.
- B - ON/OFF switch: on the front of the clipper body, below the ring.
- Charge indicator (“Charge”): indicator light located lower down on the front.
Instructions for use
You can use the clipper in two ways:
- Battery-powered: insert the battery for immediate use.
- Mains operation (AC): switch off the machine and connect it to the charger. Then plug the charger into the socket and start the machine.
Adjustable cutting length
Without an attachment comb, the clipper’s cutting length is adjustable from 0.8 to 2.0 mm. Turn the ring (A) to the position corresponding to the desired cutting length.
Attachment combs (guards)
The clipper comes with four attachment combs, which increase the cutting length by approximately 3, 6, 9 and 12 mm.
- Slide the attachment comb onto the front of the clipping head as far as it will go (Image 2 in the manual).
- After use, simply remove the comb by pushing it forwards, off the clipping head.
Charging the battery
- Make sure the machine is switched off (switch B).
- Insert the discharged battery into the clipper.
- Connect the machine to the charger.
- Connect the charger to an AC power outlet with the correct rated voltage.
- The clipper’s charging indicator lights up red; it remains lit throughout the charging process.
- After charging, unplug the charger from the wall socket.
- A full charge takes approximately 5 hours.
Caution
- Before charging the battery for the first time, it must be completely discharged.
- The battery reaches its maximum capacity after 3 or 4 full charges.
- Do not exceed the 5-hour charging time: overcharging may reduce the battery’s lifespan.
- Only a short circuit in the battery or a long period without use can affect the battery’s performance.
- Do not use the charger in places where the temperature is below 5 °C or above 40 °C.
Maintenance: cleaning and oiling
Before any maintenance, first switch off the machine, then disconnect the power supply and remove the battery.
- Always remove the attachment comb after each use and use the brush to remove any hair from the blades.
- To remove the clipping head, carefully push it with your thumb (Image 3 in the manual).
- Hold the clipping head by its plastic part and brush between the blades to remove the hair (Image 4).
- After cleaning, pour 2 or 3 drops of oil between the upper and lower blades (Image 5).
- Then replace the clipping head on the machine.
