The Waterford mouthpiece is made up of balls that move in all directions. These articulated balls make it difficult for the horse to lean on the bit and pull against it. The mouthpiece’s flexibility allows it to adapt to many mouths, including those with thick tongues.
The mouthpiece is made of Cuprion — an alloy of 91% copper, 5% zinc, and 4% silicon — and the guards are made of stainless steel. Copper reaches the horse’s body temperature, which makes acceptance easier, and its oxidation releases a pleasant smell and taste.

🐎 Why choose this product?
⚠️ The supplier presents this bit as particularly suitable for experienced riders: the aids are transmitted sharply. It is described for training, on a horse that leans on or rests against the hand—not as an everyday bit for a horse that is already light in the hand.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is normal for the alloy, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product.
