This bit is made of solid Cuprigan—a 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc alloy—mounted on stainless steel rings. As it oxidizes, the material releases a pleasant smell and taste. Its anatomical shape follows the contours of the mouth and distributes pressure gently and evenly. Thanks to its rounded shape, this mouthpiece provides more space on both sides of the tongue. On an eggbutt bit, the rings do not rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct effect than with a loose-ring bit. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece remains relatively stable in the mouth.

- ✔ Solid Cuprigan: its oxidation releases a taste that stimulates salivation

🐎 Why choose this product?
The rounded shape of the mouthpiece creates space on either side of the tongue. This is what is needed for a horse with a thick tongue that lacks room beneath a straight mouthpiece.
🧴 Usage advice
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan tarnishes and turns green as it oxidizes: this is the alloy functioning normally, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product.
