This bit is made from solid Cuprigan—a 89% copper, 7% aluminum, 3% iron, and 1% zinc alloy—fitted with stainless steel rings. As it oxidizes, the material releases a pleasant smell and taste. Its anatomical shape follows the contours of the mouth and distributes pressure gently and evenly. On an eggbutt bit, the rings do not rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct effect than with a loose-ring bit. This type of bit is generally well accepted because the mouthpiece remains relatively stable in the horse’s mouth.

- ✔ Solid Cuprigan: its oxidation releases a taste that stimulates salivation
- ✔ Eggbutt design: fixed rings, stable mouthpiece, more direct action
- ✔ Anatomical shape: pressure is distributed without pressure points

🐎 Why choose this product?
At 16 mm, the mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface area and is less noticeable. However, the horse must have enough room for it: on a horse with a thick tongue, a wide mouthpiece can cause more discomfort than relief.
🧴 Usage advice
Rinse the bit with clean water after each use. ⚠️ Cuprigan becomes dull and turns green as it oxidizes: this is the alloy’s normal behavior, not a defect, and it should not be removed with an abrasive product.
