A 2.5-ring bit made of flexible synthetic material, with a single-jointed mouthpiece.

✨ Key features

  • ✔ The Inno Sense collection is made of synthetic material that is significantly softer than metal and contains no plasticizers. Horses readily follow the hand and quickly accept this type of mouthpiece.
  • ✔ Single joint. This mouthpiece puts less pressure on the tongue than a double-jointed one and works mainly on the bars and sides of the tongue. It is the standard mouthpiece.
  • ✔ A milder version of the three-ring (Pessoa) bit: it provides leverage, which is more direct the lower the rein is attached. The loose rings allow the bit more movement than an eggbutt version.

📋 Technical specifications

  • Type: 2.5-ring bit
  • Material: Inno Sense
  • Mouthpiece: single-jointed
  • Sizes (mm): 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

This is the mouthpiece most horses are familiar with: the one to start with, and the one to return to when you want to determine what comes from the bit and what comes from the hand.

🧴 Directions for use

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Leverage acts on the poll: use it with a light hand and check the cheekpiece adjustment. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely gets damaged, but a sharp tooth can wear it down.

About TRUST Equestrian ...

TRUST Equestrian is a Dutch brand specializing in bits and leatherwork. Its bits are designed, developed, and manufactured in the Netherlands, where a team of technicians assembles them by hand. Production of Sweet Iron mouthpieces began more than fifteen years ago, followed by Leather and then Inno Sense mouthpieces. The range now includes three materials, twenty-two mouthpieces, and thirty-four types of shanks, totaling more than two thousand different bits. TRUST bits are anatomically shaped: slightly curved, they follow the shape of the horse’s mouth. The leather collection is made from European full-grain leather, and each model takes the anatomy of the modern horse into account.
