🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit-sizing ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. Choose the thickness according to the mouth: a thick mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface, but takes up too much room in a shallow mouth or with a thick tongue. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards: the corner of the mouth is pinched between the mobile ring and the mouthpiece. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely gets damaged, but a sharp tooth can nick it. ⚠️ Flexi Soft is not well suited to strong horses: its flexibility provides no support.
