A 2.5-ring eggbutt bit made from soft synthetic material, with a curved straight mouthpiece (mullen).

✨ Key features

  • ✔ The Inno Sense collection is made from synthetic material that is significantly softer than metal, without plasticizers. Horses follow the hand easily and quickly accept this type of mouthpiece.
  • ✔ One-piece mouthpiece, slightly curved forward. Without a joint, it distributes pressure across the entire tongue.
  • ✔ A milder version of the three-ring (Pessoa): leverage is present and becomes more pronounced the lower the rein is attached. Since the rings are fixed, the bit moves less in the mouth than a 2.5-ring bit with loose rings.

📋 Technical specifications

  • Type: 2.5-ring eggbutt bit
  • Material: Inno Sense
  • Mouthpiece: curved straight (mullen)
  • Mouthpiece thickness: 20 mm
  • Sizes (mm): 125 / 135 / 145

🐎 Why choose this product?

With no joint, nothing closes onto the tongue: this is the mouthpiece for horses that do not accept a pinching effect.

🧴 Usage tips

⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit ruler, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Leverage acts on the poll: use it with a light hand and check the cheekpiece adjustment. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely gets damaged, but a sharp tooth can nick it.

About TRUST Equestrian ...

TRUST Equestrian is a Dutch brand specializing in bits and leatherwork. Its bits are designed, developed, and manufactured in the Netherlands, where a team of technicians assembles them by hand. Production of Sweet Iron mouthpieces began more than fifteen years ago, followed by Leather and then Inno Sense mouthpieces. The range now includes three materials, twenty-two mouthpieces, and thirty-four types of shanks, totaling more than two thousand different bits. TRUST bits are anatomically shaped: slightly curved, they follow the shape of the horse’s mouth. The leather collection is made from European full-grain leather, and each model takes the anatomy of the modern horse into account.
