The gentlest mouthpiece in the range: ideal for a young horse or a horse whose mouth has been affected by a metal bit.
🧴 Usage tips
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it currently wears: if it is too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if it is too narrow, it presses against the corners of the mouth. Choose the thickness according to the mouth: a thick mouthpiece distributes pressure over a larger surface area, but can take up too much space in a shallow mouth or with a thick tongue. ⚠️ Fit rubber bit guards to prevent pinching at the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Check the mouthpiece regularly: when correctly positioned on the bars, it rarely becomes damaged, but a sharp tooth can nick it. ⚠️ Flexi Soft is not well suited to strong horses, as its flexibility provides little support.
