A short combination hackamore bit made of blue-patina Sweet Iron, with a low tongue port mouthpiece.
✨ Key features
- ✔ Sweet Iron is mild steel blued during manufacturing by heating. When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit better.
- ✔ Straight mouthpiece with a low tongue port. It provides a little more room for the tongue and distributes pressure correctly across the bars.
- ✔ A combination of a hackamore and a bit: pressure is distributed between the mouth and the nose. The short shanks provide moderate leverage. An adjustment screw is located above the mouthpiece.

🐎 Why choose this product?
A little room for the tongue without lifting the bit off the palate: the first step toward greater tongue freedom when a single-jointed bit presses too much in the center.
🧴 Directions for use
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimeters: it is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a measuring gauge, or use the measurement of the bit it wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it tightens the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ The hackamore acts on the noseband area: make sure the noseband rests on the bone, not on the nasal cartilage. ⚠️ The blue color turns silver-gray or brown-gray with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behavior, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful.
