A 2-slot Liverpool bit with rotating cheeks, made of blue-patinaed Sweet Iron and featuring a single-jointed twisted mouthpiece.
✨ Key features
- ✔ Sweet Iron is mild steel, blued during manufacturing by heating. When exposed to humid air and saliva, it develops a surface oxidation with a sweet taste that naturally stimulates salivation: the horse chews more and accepts the bit more readily.
- ✔ Single joint with both sides of the mouthpiece twisted. The twist creates edges, resulting in a more incisive action on the bars than a smooth single joint.
- ✔ Driving bit with two adjustment slots, whose mouthpiece pivots on the cheeks: the action is applied more progressively than with fixed cheeks.

🐎 Why choose this product?
The twist intensifies the action on the bars: this is a bit for occasional corrective use and should not be left in a horse's mouth permanently.
🧴 Usage advice
⚠️ Bit size is given in millimetres: this is the width of the mouthpiece from one ring to the other. A 125 measures 12.5 cm. Measure your horse's mouth with a bit measuring tool, or measure the bit it currently wears: if too wide, the bit moves around and pinches; if too narrow, it squeezes the corners of the mouth. ⚠️ Driving bit: adjust both sides to the same slot. A curb chain is essential. ⚠️ The blue colour turns silver-grey or brown-grey with use, and an orange film appears when the bit is left unused: this is normal Sweet Iron behaviour, not a defect. A wipe with a damp cloth is enough to remove it. This oxidation is not harmful. ⚠️ This mouthpiece is not suitable for sensitive horses or inexperienced riders.
