D-ring bit, single jointed, hard carbon, 16 mm

A single-jointed Verdun bit made of hard carbon, the quintessential classic: it acts on the lower jaw through the tongue, while the central joint relieves pressure on the middle of the tongue when the reins are tensioned. The D-rings frame the mouth and guide the horse through turns, especially horses that evade through the shoulder.

  • The fixed cheeks transmit the action directly to the tongue and lower jaw.
  • Stays stable in the mouth and is gentle on the corners.
