METAL MUZZLES / straps BIOTHANE green
A metal basket muzzle, handmade in the Czech Republic by CHOPO since 1990. Its open structure allows your dog to pant, drink and open its mouth freely while keeping it safely restrained. The green Biothane straps can be finely adjusted for stable support without pressure points.
The basket is available in two finishes: shiny galvanized zinc, or black rubber coating (gumoplast), which does not stick to the muzzle in freezing weather, can be washed with water and resists corrosion. According to tests conducted by CHOPO with dog clubs, this coating extends the basket's lifespan by approximately 50%.
Each model corresponds to a breed and sex size profile, with precise interior dimensions: walks, training sessions and visits to the veterinarian can all take place with confidence.

📏 Choosing the right size
Breed name is a reference point, not a guarantee: only your dog's measurements matter. Measure the width of the bridge of the nose and add 1 to 2 cm, then measure the depth from the back edge of the nose pad to the tip of the muzzle, and finally the height with the mouth open during exertion, as when panting after a run. In the Model menu, each reference begins with its interior measurements - width × depth × height in cm - followed by the indicative breeds provided by CHOPO. The size guide includes a tool that finds the reference based on your three measurements.
🐕 Why choose this muzzle?
Because a properly sized metal basket is the most breathable muzzle for a dog that walks, runs or waits at the veterinarian's office. Whereas a classic muzzle such as the Baskerville Ultra is available in six sizes selected by muzzle circumference, CHOPO offers 41 size profiles, each with three interior dimensions, including open-mouth height: you can adjust to the nearest half-centimeter, and your dog can pant fully even during exertion.
🧴 Care instructions
Rinse the entire muzzle, basket and straps with clean water, then leave it to dry. Biothane is not affected by water or mud and requires no maintenance product.
