The German noseband passes under the bit and acts on the lower jaw, whereas a French noseband simply encircles the nose. It prevents the horse from opening its mouth to evade contact.
This one has an anatomical shape: approximately 2.5 cm wide in the middle and 2 cm at the ends. This gradual tapering is not merely cosmetic—it makes the piece lighter where it curves around the jaw, the most sensitive area. The leather is raised and padded with soft leather, with two stainless steel rings and stainless steel hardware.
